On the corner of H and 12th Street, in Washington D.C., stands a brand new mixed-use community known as the Helix.
The residential core of the building, on the second floor, is ordered around a private gym that opens onto a beautiful garden courtyard.
The garden courtyard is completely exclusive to residents, a private oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle.
Most apartments have access to private balconies as well. The organic shapes of the decks give the building a very natural and unique form.
The balconies of the Helix have a direct relationship with the courtyard as well. The living core of the Helix is the starting point from which all balconies spiral outwards.
On the roof of the building are numerous additional amenities for tenants. A clubhouse, dog park, grill patio and office spaces make life in the city more social and enjoyable.
